Oxygen monitor sensor/transmitter (in situ) for inert applications in silo’s, transport systems, tanks and bins
The M1000 Oxygen Monitor System is designed as an (in situ) oxygen monitor sensor/transmitter for inert applications in silo’s, transport systems, tanks and bins or for example chemical powders, which have a potential risk for a dust explosion. The M1000 enables the trouble-free monitoring of oxygen concentrations in a nitrogen atmosphere without the necessity of gas sampling, and thus operates according to the diffusion principle.
Oxygen monitoring is used in inert systems for chemical powder storage and transport.
As the environment of powder storage and transport areas is usually very dusty, it is not recommendable to use a sampling system with a pump. The dust will block the tubing and filters of the sampling system on a regular case, causing a high level of maintenance.
The M1000 operates according to the diffusion principle. The monitor is mounted on a flange which is located at the top of the silo or bin. The gas in the atmosphere of the silo diffuses into the oxygen sensor. Since there is no positive movement of chemical powder to the sensor the sampling gas will not block filters and tubing. The right design and choice of components ensures a long term maintenance free operation.
M1000 has the following features:
The M1000 is intrinsically safe and is a 4..20 mA transmitter type instrument with digital display for the measured concentration. The sensor is built in an pressure proof stainless steel housing provided with a teflon filter. The transmitter housing is made out of aluminium, is waterproof and RF-shielded.
