Where the concentration of a process liquid has to remain constant to ensure the quality of the production process.
The system continuously measures the concentration of the liquid in e.g. a tank. The difference between the measured value and the default value defines whether concentrate or dilution liquid (e.g. water) will be added to the process. This continues until the nominal value has been reached.
This system analyser has an unique feature: a continuous ultra sonic cleaning system that prevents any product coating on the measuring prism. As a result there is no drift of the measuring value. The measured values are processed by the Procan Master, this is an IPC/PLC based process control system housed in a stand-alone enclosure with control panel.
A by-pass flow is created out of the process (e.g. a process tank) where a dry-running protection (DLB) system protects the by-pass pump. The liquid flows through the analyser passing the measuring prism which is kept clean by the ultrasonic cleaning system. A flow fail indicator warns when ever there is no flow through the by-pass. These devices take care that the added concentrate or dilution liquid are well mixed with the process liquid. In the mixing device the concentrate will be injected with a constant pressure and flow. This will guarantee a repeatable dosing process. The control valves are controlled by the ProcanMaster. A PID-Controller is included in the ProcanMaster Software to enable adjustment of the control parameters for all different process conditions.
