Portable sample treatment for Biogas and Syngas

However, if the sample to be measured is excessively wet (such as the biodigester’s output, when the gas has not yet treated by the plant), an analysis of a few minutes is sufficient to irreparably damage the analyser, as this would create sediment on the optical components.

An essential aid in syngas systems
Suppose condensate extraction in Biogas plants is necessary to preserve the integrity of the analyser. In that case, this is more true in Syngas plants. The peculiarity of the production process is that the latter generates a very high TAR quantity (commonly called tar); this adds high temperaturehigh dust content, and humidity. Using an analyser with this type of gas would mean making it immediately unusable.


Compact, robust and practical
The ETG PSS gas treatment system is equipped with different sample cleaning stages. In the beginning, three Dreschel bottles are placed in a series that allows tar and dust to sediment through bubbling in water. The gas is immediately passed through an exchanger connected to a Peltier cell chiller; once condensed, the water is expelled through a continuously operated peristaltic pump. The flow is kept stable by a vacuum pump, a panel flowmeter and a bypass system that prevents excessive pressure. To use it, connect it to the power supply and wait for the warm-up time. ETG PSS uses no special water. The ETG PSS system uses only state-of-the-art components. It is installed in a small waterproof trolley made of shockproof material for military use.
