FTIR Multicomponent gas analyser – Industrial emissions monitoring – Anaesthetic gas monitoring – Greenhouse gas monitoring

Categories: ,

The ETG FTIR 9500 series is the latest product designed by the in-house research and development team, resulting from years of work and experience in the field. ETG Risorse e Tecnologia has developed a high-resolution FTIR spectrometer. It offers high signal transmission capacity, low level of interference and extended component life.

Extreme versatility
Thanks to the Fourier Transform IR Spectroscopy (FTIR) technique, the ETG 9500 analysers make their versatility their strength. Each compound has a specific absorption frequency within the infrared spectrum. The infrared spectrum analysis – using algorithms and mathematical formulas – reveals then the compounds’ concentrations. ETG Risorse e Tecnologia used a 5-metre optical path in a low-volume cell, giving ETG 9500 analysers great sensitivity and fast response time. As stability is a crucial factor, ETG researchers made background acquisition (necessary to compare the analysed sample) an easy, immediate, and automatic process. It’s also possible to exclude any undesirable compounds with a frequency of absorption very similar to those of interest. Is there a need to add an unintended compound? ETG Risorse e Tecnologia can provide the new configuration without hardware modifications: add few files, even via a remote connection over LAN and WLAN.

ETG’s FTIR technology analysers can analyse many compounds; depending on the configuration, these analysers can be used in various industries. Besides, the FTIR 9500 ETG analysers are available in all formats: Wall-Mounted, Rack 19″ and portable.

Industrial emissions
Thanks to its accuracy and a large number of simultaneously measurable compounds, ETG 9500 analysers prove to be a valuable ally in industrial emission control. Whether integrated into a fixed analysis system or in its portable version, it can monitor the leading gases emitted by industrial processes like Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Water  (H2O), Nitrogen Oxide (NO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Ammonia (NH3), Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) and Hydrofluoric Acid (HF). Want to monitor a single compound even more quickly?

Anaesthetic gas monitoring
ETG 9500 analysers are an essential aid in keeping the hospital environment a safe place. The ETG configuration designed for the operating room allows the analyser to control the dispersion of anaesthetic gases, representing a real risk for all healthcare personnel. The speed of response of the ETG 9500 analyser, together with its precision, allows a possible leak of anaesthetic gas to be identified very quickly, also identifying its origin. The compounds measured include Nitrogen Oxide, Isoflurane, Sevoflurane, Desflurane, Enflurane, Halothane and many others.

Greenhouse gas monitoring
The versatility of the ETG 9500 analyser makes it indispensable in every laboratory. For example, thanks to its selectivity and low detection limit it can identify the presence of greenhouse gases – such as Methane (CH4), Nitrogen Oxide (N2O), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Water Vapour (H2O) – in the air. Any reconfigurations only require software modifications that any user can carry out, making the ETG 9500 series a high-performance analyser and an essential tool in the research sector.

Infinite potential
The technology used by the ETG 9500 series makes these analysers suitable for every use. Monitoring the composting process, controlling catalysts, checking for leaks in chemical plants, particular research in the biogas and syngas field, and analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds are just possible applications. The ETG 9500 series, combining its technology with many formats – including portable – makes it suitable for any use.
